I get by with a little help from my friends a wise man once said. And at times all of us need that time to regroup and heal mentally. There are the traditional methods for seeking mental help such as psychiatrist and psychologist. Some people turn to friends they can confide in and some turn to mind altering substances for escape.
For whatever the reason, everyone needs a healthy option to vent or release emotions that cause mental turmoil. Exercise has proven to be beneficial for alleviating stress and increasing physical fitness. Anger can be a good motivator for working out, but when you are done, has the problem gone?
In all my years around the sun, one thing is clear, one problem may go away but new challenges always arise.
What makes a good therapist?
First and foremost, if I were looking for mental health guidance they would have to listen. There are many other characteristics like trust, confidentiality and non-judgemental just to name a few.

Taking control is the best medicine.Mother Earth
By far the best therapy I have received has come from working the soil. Nurturing the Earth is the most rewarding experience I can think of. The time you spend on your hands and knees talking to mother nature is perfect. She always listens and never interrupts.
When you fertilize the ground where your crops grow is getting back something from what you put into it. On a personal note, currently I’m growing broccoli, rosemary and lavender. What you plant is unimportant, seeing the birth of a plant you planted is. You have created life.
Take some time out of yourself. Plant something and wait for the feeling accomplishment to take root in your life. The Earth is our friend and she repays that friendship tenfold when we become the nurturer.
